Founded in 2010, Scissor Tail Editions is an independent record label that enjoys facilitating sincere audible moments into tangible physical formats. The label serves as a mechanism for documenting, curating, and releasing music by a wonderful international roster of hand-chosen artists and composers.
Demo Policy:
Unsolicited demos are still welcomed (I always like to listen to new
music) but be aware that we get a lot of demos (and many are very good)

Internship: The label would love to discuss possible internships with folks looking to help with emails and pr. I like to do all the boring tedious shipping of records in house but could always use help with social media and pr. Shoot us an email if you're looking for intern hours.
Private Press:
Scissor Tail Editions also run a small letterpress studio. Please get in touch if you need some jcards/lp/cd jackets...etc. Prices are negotiable.
Shipping:
We unfortunately regret to inform our international customers that the postal rates for all international parcels has been increased by over 60% on January 27, 2013. This increase was due to the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act of 2006, which strong armed the postal service into such measures at the hands of Congress who have been bribed and paid off by lobbyists. We encourage all of our US customers to petition their local congressional representative to repeal this unfair act and end business lobbyists. As for 2023 International shipping is extremely high. We ship records for less than the cost to ship overseas and just eat the extra cost because we want everyone to have access to the music!
